The ScapeCast is very proud to announce that we have been selected as a finalist in two categories for the upcoming 2007 Parsec Awards. We are in the running for the ‘Best Fan Podcast’ and ‘Best Audio Production’ awards. We won the ‘Best Fan Podcast’ award in 2006.
The Parsec Awards are dedicated to rewarding excellence in various aspects of Science Fiction and Speculative Fiction podcasting. These are not popularity style contests but are instead judged awards where some well known SciFi authors and celebrities from the genre select the winners. The awards ceremony will be held at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, GA over Labor Day weekend.

Our friend and fellow SciFi podcaster Joe Murphy passed away on Sunday after his battle with leiomyosarcoma carcinoma. We’ll all miss you Joe.
