For those of you who can’t make the ComicCon panel with BOOM! Studios, stay tuned for our next episode (to be release Friday, July 25, the day of the ComicCon panel). We have an wonderful interview with the managing editor of the new Farscape comics. If you’ve been hearing rumors of what was announced at the panel, you’ll want to check out the interview, where the rumors are confirmed and much more is said about what will happen with the comics.

Howdy, all. Once again, the ScapeCast crew will be in Burbank at the Official Farscape Convention recording a live podcast Saturday morning. We’d love to see, meet and speak with as many of you as can make it there in person.
We’ve also produced a promo for the convention in cooperation with the folks at Creation Entertainment. You can find it here.

The ScapeCast is happy to announce our new photo gallery. We currently have photos from the live appearance and recording at the 2006 Official Farscape Convention in Burbank, hosted by Creation Entertainment. We had a lovely time at the Official Farscape Convention held by Creation Entertainment in Burbank. We were blown away by the number of Scapers who showed up in the audience and had such great questions and answers for us. And congratulations to Jamie Meier for winning our Early Bird Thanks for Sharing drawing and Sherry Skchwojko and Hezmanagirl for winning the trivia question!

As part of Creation Entertainment’s Official Farscape Convention in Burbank this coming weekend, The ScapeCast will be recording a live episode of our show on Saturday, November 4th, 2006. We’d love to have our listeners in the audience and a part of this exciting event. It’s not too late to get into the convention. The ScapeCast was recognized for outstanding achievement in the Best Fan Podcast category at the first annual Parsec Awards, held in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 2.
The Parsec Awards honor excellence in science fiction and fantasy podcasting. Fans nominated the ScapeCast for consideration, but a juried panel selected the five finalists. A final jury, including members of the podcasting community as well as science fiction notables, then evaluated a 15 minute audio sample from the finalists before selecting a winner that was announced the day of the ceremony.

The ScapeCast is proud to have been selected as one of the finalists in the new Parsec podcasting awards. The awards will be given out at the upcoming Dragon*Con convention in Atlanta. Thanks to all of you for continuing to support The ScapeCast and Farscape.
