Moyans Christmas written and performed by Kurt Armbruster
Another fun filk, Kurt.  Thanks!

Thanks!

Half the fun was "researching" the song.  Did you know, that if you slow down the Chipmunks by about 40%, Alvin sounds suspiciously like our very own Hank? ;)

Get To Know Each Other / Re: noted from Facebook - the Birthday thread

You would be surprised...  ;)

Ah!   Not me.   That would be Kurt-eh.  ;)
I quietly suggest to someone that it might be funny to mention that it's someone's birthday once at Japanese Village (she was the one who ran with it) and now I get all the blame!

Please excuse me while I get back to those strings... ;)  (practices evil laugh.  It's very important, do you think Bad Horse never practiced his whinnie?  That terrible, death whinnie?)

Happy Day, Nicola!

I hear it's cold out side...

Indeed.  The true horror behind the Buffy series (or at least the first few seasons) is (cue dramatic music) HIGH SCHOOL! ;)

Farscape needs its campiness to make it believable and enjoyable.  It's part of the soul and its what we all fell in love with.  To change that aspect alone would be a grand mistake and would cause me to treat any new Farscape with the same eye as Joel Schumacher's Batman and Robin film:  It would be dead to me.

But, Schumacher never made a Batman film (and there's only 1 Highlander film too).  ;)

I agree with everything Dealan and Michael said -- but my favorite part wasn't on screen, but in my own head!  D'Argo on Letterman???  I would have LOVED to have seen that!!  Isn't there some vidder out there who can make that real?

I can just see big D's answers right now...

Yes.

No.

Bite me!

Confession time. ;)

I've never seen an entire episode of the X Files!  (Not counting the first movie, that is).

I'm sure it's a very good show, just never seen it.

When it originally premiered, it was on Friday nights while I was at work, so I never got into it...

Brilliant episode! I really enjoyed it! I especially liked the insight into Jool, as well as some well-educated theories on how the Hynerian political system works. I haven't said anything, but I totally enjoy the recent resurgence of the "Shooting from the Hip" segment. I have a request: after you guys do one on the last part of the "We're So Screwed" trilogy, do you think you could do one on the episode "Eat Me"? It's an episode I've been watching a lot of lately because there's so much interesting stuff in it. Plus, it's arguably the darkest and nastiest episode of Farscape... :)

Now thinking about it, I'm not sure if I may be able to do a promo for your contest. I just don't have the right software for it. It's a frelling shame. I really wanted that autographed picture of Lani Tupu as Captain Crais... :( Although, it probably would've been better if it were a Wayne Pygram as Scorpius pic, but beggars can't be choosers. Keep up the great work!

P.S. Btw, are there any Doctor Who or Torchwood podcasts out there? I've been looking for the past few weeks, and I can't find any! :( If someone can direct me towards one, I'd be very happy! Thanks!

No need to fret!  There are plenty of decent audio software packages out there.  One good FREE audio editor/recorder used by many podcasters is Audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

I believe it even lets you export the file as a wav format.  To make an mp3 you'll need an additional encoder called Lame (link)

For more Babylon 5 geekery, check out the Babylon Podcast!

It's at:  http://www.babylonpodcast.com

They've got all sorts of "deep geeking" interviews with cast and crew, discussions, and they've even got the Vorlon (or at least the guy behind the shower curtain) as a cohost!

For finding cheap episodes, I've heard rumors that iTunes USA store might have it in stock.

It's also on:
http://www.hulu.com/babylon-5

Cool.  Hulu has the first 2 seasons, including the Pilot movie, "The Gathering."  The funny thing is that they've got "The Gathering" as Season 1 episode 23.  ;)

Cool!  Have fun. ;)

much snipping

(and possibly get Kurt to pronounce the word "versimilitude" in his next reading on the podcast):

Whistles innocently
