Again, a great show and Lindy, once again it was nice seeing you at ScapeRama ;D

That was so cool to listen to.

But Frell!  I totally forgot about #26's question of the week! (Hey, I was busy partying with other Scapers :D )

My favorite TV shows other than Farscape (goes without saying #1) would have to be Babylon 5 (it's a close 2nd to Farscape), ST: Deep Space Nine, ST:The Next Generation, the original Battlestar Galactica (yes, yes, with wooden characterization and paper-thin dialogue and all!), and Space:1999 (ditto about the characterization and dialogue here too ;) ).  The last two are just plain campy fun ;D

Space:1999

Jeff

I loved that show!  Even though it seemed like there were only 4 sets and the same story every week.  It had the feel of a space outpost it  - the dark and  cold emptiness of space seemed realistic.  And I loved Martin Landau and Barbara Bain... and the woman with the funky eyebrows who could turn into a cougar or cat or whatever.

Oh, the childhood days of cheesy sci fi - Doctor Who, the Tom Baker years, Red Dwarf, Buck Rogers...

You're probably not far from the truth on that! :D

They just moved the props around a bit to make each set look different for the next shoot ;)

Remember Quark?  The short-lived show on NBC in the late 70's with Richard Benjamin as the hero/captain of a intergalatic garbage truck? ::) :D

I'm stumped with Quark...

But I fondly recall Quisp cereal... it always beat out Captain Crunch.

Well Quark only had about a 6-8 episode run, so no small surprise it doesn't ring a bell.

As for breakfast cereal, hey Captain Crunch over Quisp anyday ;D

P.S. I DON'T believe this!  There is a webpage for the show: http://www.skooldays.com/categories/primetime/pt1435.htm

Oh my eyes!  Wow, I've never seen that show before.  I'd have remembered the guy with the giant head.

Great show.  I really liked the group discussion on Suns and Lovers.

I'm now finally up to date with the Scapecasts.  :)

Also, thanks for including my answer to the question of the week!   ;D

BTW, I'm also a bit of a Space 1999 fan.  It might look cheap but apparently it cost around a million dollars an episode, and that's back in the '70s.  I prefer the first series.  The second series looked as if it'd been messed around with too much, I think the producer of the third season of ST TOS was brought in to broaden the appeal.  Series one was darker, and a bit more serious.  Of course, the whole basis of the show (what with the Moon being blown out of the solar system by a nuclear waste explosion) was, scientifically speaking, bulls**t. :)

Thanks, Winston, and no problem on the answer.  We like to include all the answers if we can.  :)

Of course, there is the bit of Farscape/Space:1999 trivia.  Actor Nick Tate, who played R. Wilson Monroe in "Constellation of Doubt", also played Chris Carter on Space:1999.  Hey! People on TV aren't supposed to physically change like that!!!  Don't those folks in showbiz have exclusive access to Ponce De Leon's Fountain of Youth? ::) ;D

That would be Alan Carter.  Chris Carter was the producer of The X Files.

Thanks, Brent. :)

Congratulations to the Scapcast-team. It was once again a wonderful episode.

It is great that you are still bringing the Thanks for sharing contest. Vicki Meece’s contribution was very moving and went directly to my heart. Kimberly did a great job presenting it!

Shooting from the Hip was fantastic, too. I wish I could have been there as well. Could someone please invent the beaming technology? Just wanted to let you know that you all seem like a great bunch of people.  ;D
