This episode was great! I agree with Lindy on her opinion of summer shows. There's this one show I got into this past summer called Burn Notice and I have to wait til next summer for the second season! >:( I'm thoroughly pissed about that 'cause the first season ended on such a fantastic cliffhanger!

Hi, just listened to your podcast from DragonCon and in it you said that it was hard to find series 1 DVD's.
My mate just bought a set from GPstore and they have season one in stock... I don't know where the source them from so it could be limited ???

Thanks for the extra show.  It was a fantastic bonus.  I enjoyed hearing the thoughts of the audience and hearing more discussion from the Scapecast crew.  It was good to hear Kurt as well this time, not only Kevin and Lindyrae.  I love listening to you two each fortnight, but it’s nice to hear the other members of the Scapecast crew give their thoughts on different aspects of the show.  I find it really hard to put into words my feelings about why I like a particular thing, which is why I don’t contribute to any forums much, but I’m starting to develop my thoughts by following your podcast and the discussions on TWoP during the rewatch.

I’ve never been to a Con before but listening to this made me really want to be part of one in the future.  I only “rediscovered” Farscape earlier this year and had to miss out on the Ozcape in 2007 because I’d spent too much money on a trip to South America and Antarctica at the end of 2006.  It was going to be the last one in Australia, but they decided to hold one in 2009 (even before hearing about the webisodes), so I’m definitely going to attend that one.  I don’t know whether I’ll make one in the US unless I plan another big trip and go to the US and Canada and include a trip to a Con, making sure that anything to do with Farscape and/or the Scapecast will be included.

PS  Do you have another “shooting from the hip” coming up?

Thanks for the link altershape - but we were referring to the scarcity of Region 1 Farscape Season 1.   Still - if people in Region 1 have a multi-region player they can certainly buy Region 2 and Region 4 Farscape.   They are still widely available.   :)

Always.  :)  But it's tough getting the time to get them in the show, since we have so many great articles and interviews and the like on the plate.  Thank you for your comments.

All 3; Michael, Fi, and SAM.  Bruce Campbell was the extra icing on the cake.  HUGH fan since Brisco County Jr days.  What a show  :)

I've watched it from the start and love it as well.  I initially watched for Campbell, but quickly came to really enjoy the lead character/actor as well.

I've always been a huge fan of the movie Army of Darkness, and that's where I first became a fan of Bruce Campbell. I also watched that Brisco County, Jr. show. Shame it didn't last that long. My brother and I loved watching it.

Although, I'm such a big fan of Bruce's, that I was thinking that if I were in that same part of the universe with John Crichton, he wouldn't be the only one nicknaming his weapon. I was thinking I'd have one of those high-powered Pulse Rifles like the one Rorf had when he was infiltrating the Shadow Depository in the Liars, Guns and Money trilogy (I forget what their called... :(), and I'd nickname it either "Ash" or "Boomstick". I'm leaning more towards the former... :)

Loved the episode! I’ve never been to a con, but listening to the show was the next best thing.

Thanks for the link altershape - but we were referring to the scarcity of Region 1 Farscape Season 1.

I recommend keeping an eye on eBay.  It's tough to find the DVDs sometimes, but you might get lucky.

I took a look at eBay on 16 October, and the following links are what I found.  The lowest price for a new set as of 10:15 pm CDT is noted.
Starburst Season 1, Vol 1 ($67.00 US... ugh): http://cgi.ebay.com/Farscape-Starburst-Edition-Season-1-Collection-1-DVD_W0QQitemZ140167300131QQihZ004QQcategoryZ617QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Starburst Season 1, Vol 2 ($31.00 US): http://product.ebay.com/Farscape-Starburst-Edition-Season-1-Collection-2_UPC_702727104725_W0QQfvcsZ1177QQsoprZ44014415
Starburst Season 1, Vol 3 ($24.99 US): http://product.ebay.com/Farscape-Starburst-Edition-Season-1-Collection-3_UPC_702727104824_W0QQfvcsZ1177QQsoprZ44968992

A complete season one set is also up at $102.50 US: http://cgi.ebay.com/FARSCAPE-STARBURST-FIRST-SEASON-ONE-1-DVD-SET-OOP-DVDS_W0QQitemZ250175869778QQihZ015QQcategoryZ617QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I bought mine as a complete series set at exyte.com, but that was a while ago and still a bit much than I really wanted to pay.  The prices there for anything with season one attached have since skyrocketed.

Good luck and good hunting.

Awesome episode, guys!

It's almost time for Burbank, so I logged on to my iTunes to catch up with my Scapecast and this episode was a pleasant surprise. I think it was great for those who have been to convention (because you understand the atmosphere that you guys were in) and also for those who haven't been to any cons (because it showed how much fun and laid back everything is).

I'm glad you guys mentioned the problems in getting some of the Starburst Editions DVDs out there; I had problems myself in finding 4.2 and 4.3 - 3 online retailers on Amazon and eBay said they had it available only to cancel my order weeks later. Luckily I was able to find the DVDs from a 4th online retailer, but it's a pity that there's any difficulty whatsoever in getting those :(

Great audience participation, and I cannot wait for Burbank!
