Brilliant episode! I especially enjoyed the character review for Stark! Listening to the Zhaan review in the previous episode gave me faith that'd you do a good job. Especially considering that Stark, like Zhaan, didn't show up very much during season 4. Speaking of which, I also liked the article on the fourth season as a whole. I never really thought about "Dog with Two Bones" being the true beginning of the fourth season, but the way you describe it, it makes perfect sense. I think I have some idea as to who is going to be joining you for episode #50, but I'm not gonna say anything. I look forward to hearing it! Good luck!

P.S. This may shock some of the -dare I say it- older ScapeCast crew members, but I especially enjoyed the Patsy Cline song that you guys played for the Stark character review. It was really good. And before you you go having a heart attack, let me assure you that the only reason I know about Patsy Cline is because my mother has a CD of her music that she listens to in her car every once in a while.

It was all a DREAM?  (Actually, I 'spose that it would've been an alternate reality, John taking a left at the fork-in-the-wormhole instead of a right, etc.)  Lordy, Bobby Hill, what a fascinating concept, but I'm sure glad they didn't go along with it.  Â¥es, it would've given  the series an interesting turn (all those Aeryns to win again and again -- a dawg's dream), but only if they'd have had a few more seasons to tie up all the loose ends.

Unreality -- whadda concept!  Whadda fascinating article!  Of course, the Stark segment was good, too, but it at least didn't make me doubt everything I THOUGHT I knew about season 4!   :o

Bingo!  That show's been off 20 years, but Renko's exclamation was so funny, it still pops out of my mouth (and fingers, evidently!) every so often.  HSB is one of those shows that, had I gobs of cash, I'd buy on DVD.  (Barney Miller is another.)

Wise words from Mr Hoople.
Melissa does make some interesting points about season4, it was fragmented and certainly doesn't rate with season2 and 3 although for a few standout episodes it equals season1 and who hasn't wondered how the events would effect a fifth season :)
Fourth season Stark was a bit of a mystery not that previous encounters didn't offer the same outlook and as Penny says there was so much more to him we never really knew and perhaps may not have liked.

.
You see that one, that's that star right there. It's my point of reference, my guide, and it always becomes the center of my chart. I always name it Aeryn.

Wise words from Mr Hoople.

Really?  I guess it's true what they say about a broken clock being right twice a day...  ::)

I'll look for Slings and Arrows.  Thank you Maureen!

I had coffee in my mouth when you started the Stark character review.  ("And we just keep making the same mistakes.")  A stack of wet paper towels later, I'm still laughing at the intro music.  "Crazy" indeed.

Thank you for those clever touches that make the Scapecast.  You bring a ray of creativity and humor into my drab and dreary life.

:D

I highly recommend Slings and Arrows.   It is one of my favourite series.

In the first episode of the first series the artistic director, Oliver Welles,  (spoiler!)

meets his demise by being run over a truck bearing the slogan "Canada's Best Hams."

And show gets funnier and sillier and more poignant from that point on.  :D

Really.  ;) (Or maybe that is just my twisted Canadian sense of humour that thinks that.)
