Hi there, everyone .
I just wanted to say I thought this episode was great . I really loved that story that Janis Keating ( I hope I spelled her name correctly . Hehehe ) did. She was right when she was talking about being able to imagine the scene with JUST the music playing.  Chills ran down my spine when she showed us the music from Bad Timing . And in my head, I could imagine D'argo crying that John  ( and Aeryn ) were dead .  Or when they were having Aeryn's funeral . I pictures John tied up in hand-cuffs . Standing on the side. And then felt the feeling when she played the music of John asking D'argo to borrow D'argo's knife . What did John have in mind ??? I kinda played the game and was guessing along. I only missed out on one of the music  choices . But I DEFINITELY got the " Meltdown " music . Any true Scaper would get that , for sure .  Also the music of the other stuff she spoke about. I thought that was an EXCELLENT  story she told .   It is true . Music is very powerful , even to describe a scene in a story being told .
And I also enjoyed the interview with Rockne O'Bannon . Both parts .  I can't wait for there to be some fresh " Farscape " stories to watch ( on the internet, or anywhere that I can get to see them . )

And as usual , I think it is a great show . Keep up the excellent work , ladies and gents .

The Staleek article proved what so many producers don't get about sf fans -- they're a very intelligent, literate bunch.  (I'll try to not dislocate my shoulder as I pat myself on the back. :D)  The intertwining of Shakespeare in the article was spot-on.  Perhaps the Farscape writers cribbed ideas from the Bard?  Why not -- was it Milton Berle who said, "if you're going to steal a line, steal it from the best?"

After hearing the Shakespeare tie-ins, I gave more thought to the week's "Question:" OK, Bard fans, picture this -- the characters, not the cast, of Farscape, doing "The Tempest."  Wouldn't D'Argo make a great Caliban?

PS to Danny G: Spelling correct. Thanks for your kind words.  Music was always my first love.  Had I the chance to live my life over, I'd become a musician, not a writer.  Along with being thin, beautiful, and rich!  ;D

Another all around great episode! The character review of Staleek was fantastic and I really enjoyed the music article, too.

The best episode yet! It even kept me interested even when I was IM'ing with my friend Paul, who lives in the UK. He's a hardcore Scaper himself, and I'm still persuading him to listen to this podcast. ;D Anyway, you guys are totally becoming the Royal Family of the Unexpected! I say this because I never expected a review of good ol' Emperor Sleestak, I mean, Staleek! :D I never really thought of him as a Shakespearean kinda villain 'til now.

I also immencely enjoyed the article on the scoring of Farscape, both from the standpoint of being a musician, -I played the clarinet in middle school and high school, and I've been singing in my church's choir for more that 5 years- and also from being a very tremendous enthusiast of film scores from a young age. John Williams continues to be among my favorites to this day. I also enjoyed hearing Rockne's insight into Farscape's future, and what else he's been working on. Keep up the fantastic work!

Thoroughly enjoyable episode.

Janis, I'm a big music fan, and you did a great job with that article.  Bravo!  I loved the Star Wars tie-ins; John Williams is the greatest composer of the late twentieth century.

Awesome Staleek review, and I think I could listen to Rockne O'Bannon for hours.  His insights and intelligence are astounding.  I have to admit that I'm not familiar with his work outside of Farscape, but I was blown away by him just listening to the interview.  Maybe one day we can schedule some time for a Scapecast roundtable with him, over coffee or tea, and just talk about what makes him tick.  I feel like I could learn a lot from his creative genius.

The Scapecast just keeps getting better and better.

Thanks so much for another great episode of the podcast.

Rockne part 2 - thanks again Lindy for letting us listen to Farscape's biggest fan and creator. Not sure he gave us much information on the webisodes but he made me even more eager for them.

The article on The Music of Farscape by Janis Keating helped me finally understand music and film - she is a fantastic teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed that segment and will listen again.

Staleek and Shakespeare - of course. Too bad we were not able to see more of the politics of these high level leaders in Season 5.

Good work and thanks to all of you.

Okay ... I find I keep looking forward to each new Scapecast episode just like I did for Farscape Friday on Sci-Fi ... Each Episode keeps getting better & better.

Can you get Rockne interviews for each Ep ???

"The Music of Farscape" was GREAT ... I always noticed how music was important in Farscape & it was cool to hear Janis's review of it.

Keep up the GREAT work ... Scape On !!!!!

It may involve getting him some Scotch  ;D

Seriously; I have so many more questions that I could do it; at least for a year.  But, I can't get that kind of cooperation...   ::)

Okay, I was just re-listening to this episode. I was wondering if anyone knew . Where could I go , if I wanted to download ( or own on a CD ) the music of " Farscape " ? I was hoping to have these tunes that Janis spoke of , for my leisurely listening pleasure .  As well as any other " Farscape " soundtrack .  Your co-operation in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you , in advance .

Sincerely,
Danny Grazer
