Answer the Question of the Week
By the way, I did see the very first episode of Supernatural when it aired, and I just couldn't get into it. Apparently, there are some genre shows I can watch, others I just can't. I guess I'm very picky when it comes to good sci-fi, fantasy, horror, etc.
When I decided to give Supernatural another try, I just NetFlixed the first two seasons and watched them in a couple of weeks.
I didn't watch S3, so I'll do that on DVD via NetFlix as well. I do this same sort of "watch last season all at once" thing with 24 as well.
No, I don't overload. I quite enjoy and prefer to watch serialized shows that way. I have no patience and don't like to wait to see how a story ends.
If I could, I would. And funny you should ask, because I did just re-watch them, but I did one movie per night (nearly 4 hours per night, which is 4-5 TV show episodes, eh? ).
Mind you, I may have watched the two seasons of SPN in two weeks, but I did appreciate and comprehend each episode. In fact, I think it makes it easier for me to see connections and recognize characters when I watch new stuff that way. It's more like one very long movie.
Now that you put it that way I see your point. I would think for complex shows like Lost it might be better that way. I've also heard several people tell me that Battlestar Galactica is better when watched in this compressed time format.
A fair point, Wendy. Maybe I'll give Supernatural another chance this summer. Although, with the new season of Burn Notice on the horizon, I'm not sure how much of it I'll watch.
