This had gotta be a first! I answered the Question of the Week before I commented on the episode! ;D I really enjoyed the character review for War Minister Ahkna. She was one of those characters who I couldn't really wrap my head around, because she's so layered as a character. I used to watch Babylon 5 as a kid, so I'm pleased you decided to recognize it in your "Through the Looking Glass" segment. ;D Although, I haven't watched it in frelling FOREVER! So, I may have to pick it up again by prodding my older brother to find it for me. Also, I'm really sorry for starting that little jag in the last week's Question thread. I didn't anticipate the maelstrom it would start. I was trying to make an innocent -cough, cough, excuse me- suggestion. Keep up the great work, guys! And welcome to the ScapeCast forums, scorpiesue!

P.S. I don't know if any of you noticed, but I finally broke down and signed up on the Terra Firma forums last week! I received one helluva welcome from KernilCrash, as well as some of the other members. :)

P.P.S. I also feel very terrible. I was so busy on Saturday, that I missed Heatstroke! :'( If anyone knows when it's coming on again, let me know ASAP! Thanks!

I have to give you all an all thumbs up on the B5 segment.  It is one of my outstanding all-time favorite series and when it ended I felt nothing else could take it's place.  In fact I wasn't interested in looking for anything else for a couple of years!  The last two ST series bored me, but at least it didn't demand a commitment out of me that I wasn't prepared to give.  You see, when I commit myself to a series, I mean I COMMIT myself.  I'm in it for the whole ride, the entire enchilada!  B5 was that for me in the 90's.  I don't watch a whole lot of television, and when I do, I'm very selective.  So when I discovered Farscape in the summer of 2002, it came as a very pleasant surprise and I came to give it the same amount of energy and spirit as I did B5.
This is probably because in many ways the two shows are similar.  Both had long term series length story arcs.  In fact, I believe B5 paved the way for that in series television.  Farscape benefited from the groundwork laid by B5 and then ably and spectacularly picked up the ball where B5 left it, ran and turn it on it's head!  I firmly believe there would have been no Farscape as we know it if there had been no B5 to blaze the trail ahead of it.

Good on you.  :)  I think you'll enjoy it if you stick through to the end.  I couldn't find a good place to add this bit of info, but the first season starts out a bit rough (and the pilot movie's makeup/costumes/effects are almost laughable).  But if you can hang out until mid-S1, it gets going strong and by the end of S4, you'll be on a cloud.  :)

Another thing to look out for: just like in Farscape there are layers and meaning to everything done on the show.  Things mentioned in Season 1 will suddenly have relevent life and death consequences in later seasons.  So get ready for a fun ride!

For more Babylon 5 geekery, check out the Babylon Podcast!

It's at:  http://www.babylonpodcast.com

They've got all sorts of "deep geeking" interviews with cast and crew, discussions, and they've even got the Vorlon (or at least the guy behind the shower curtain) as a cohost!

For finding cheap episodes, I've heard rumors that iTunes USA store might have it in stock.

It's also on:
http://www.hulu.com/babylon-5

Cool.  Hulu has the first 2 seasons, including the Pilot movie, "The Gathering."  The funny thing is that they've got "The Gathering" as Season 1 episode 23.  ;)

Mostly great episode again, but WTH was with that Parsec Award commercial?!?!?

Can we say NSFW or what?!?!?

Yeah, I was going to mention the same thing.

How long must we wait for the Jim Henson Company, etc, to do the same for our beloved 4-season beast as well?

Another fabulous show. It just amazes me how you all can keep each show so interesting and make us look forward to the next episode. You've got my vote for the Parsecs!

The Ahkna review reminded me how creepy she really was and how her voice sent chills down my spine....I love it when Chritchon calls her Minnie Pearl...

The segment from KM Dealan was right on the mark...it makes my answer to What is Farscape extremely lacking...what more is there to say..Dealan  has answered what i'm thinking but couldn't quite put into words....although if I watched all the episodes in 11 days I think my eyeballs would have fallen out   :D

I enjoyed the segment about Babylon 5 and I willl have to keep my eyes open for DVD's

As always Kevin and Lindy's banter was as funny as ever and gave me a good laugh

The only criticism I have is when I listened to feedback and Brett pronounced my hometown like I live in a wigwam...let me assure you this is not the case...i may live in the Great White North but I do not smokem peace pipe  ;)
