Damn every time I listen to your cast I have to go find a few episodes and watch. Yesterday it was Kansas and Terra.
It was such a pretty show, so colorful and vibrant. I miss.

Great show.  Still digging the Hero's Journey, and the Buffy/Farscape connection was a good listen.  The Comic-Con report was great as well.

Thanks, everyone.

Another FRELLING GREAT episode !!!!

- T.T. is perfect, I like the multi-part episodes
- Good job with the season 4 John review Wendy !! ( you too Hank ! )
- Having watched Buffy, I really liked the Farscape/Buffy article. Yes, John has time to watch Buffy and    still work on the Farscape project.
- Thanks for the comiccon recap Lindy, for those of us that couldn't get there, it was the next best thing.

I like the triva questions at the start of each ep, sometimes it really racks my brain !!!

Keep it up ... Thanks again !

First and foremost, I'M SO FRELLING SORRY! :'( I've just finished listening to episodes 59-61 back-to-back in an attempt to make up for my considerable absence. The reason I haven't been listening in is partially due to being horribly under the weather, as well as a few personal issues. I'm still not entirely better, but at least I'm lucid enough now to be able to catch up on all the important dren I've missed. Like Rockne O'Bannon announcing he's gonna be writing the upcoming Farscape comics, (FRELLING WOOT! XD) for example.

Overall, really great episodes! I particularly enjoyed the little Farscape-esque tribute to George Carlin's "7 Dirty Words" routine. I was ecstatic that you guys highlighted "Quantum Leap" in one of your Through the Looking Glass segments! ;D That show was a big favorite of mine growing up. It deeply rooted in me with an almost obsessive fascination with history I continue to have today. My favorite episode was the rather controversial two-parter where Sam leaps into Lee Harvey Oswald. Sam's struggle to prevent Oswald's personality from overcoming his own during kept me rooted to the couch. Plus, the banter between Sam and Al kept me watching, too. In fact, I think John and D'Argo's banter in several episodes -"Lava's a Many Splendored Thing" springs to my mind quickly in this instance- kind of echoes Sam and Al's to some degree. Well, I'm done rambling for now, and I will take the opportunity to catch up on the Questions of the Week I missed as soon as I possibly can. Keep up the fantastic work!

P.S. Has anyone gone to see The Dark Knight yet? If so, I'd like your opinion on it. I think it's fantastic! Plus, Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker is engaging, intense, and all-around transcendent! Plus, I'd also like your opinion on his "pencil trick"...  ;D I thought it was kinda sickly funny, and even laughed. Although, I was the only one who did at the theater I went to...

...Lindy, way to score with Carrie Fisher's autographed bib...front row sure has it's advantages !  :)
Lucas says there's no underware in space ???...what's that all about?

John Review (Part 2)
...sad to see it end  :(...the words Wendy used, i found, really seemed to be poetic with a real rhythm
and flow to them...and when combined with a true hero John Crichton, it made listening to Hank something to look forward to.

BuffyScape
...i have been nervous about watching Buffy as i am a real wimp when it comes to horror ( i had a nightmare after "I am Legend"!)... even with the descriptive in depth look from Allyrenee Greaves making the show sound like something i would enjoy...and i know i have read many posts from others claiming the merits of Buffy and even Kevin said he couldn't recommend it enough, i am still a little leery  :-[

Don't be leery, Sue. Buffy's MUCh lighter than Farscape, so if you can get past FS, you can get through Buffy easily.

Angel too.

Yup.  Remember that Buffy and Angel are, at their core, comedic.  They are lighthearted fun with monsters, not terror or horror in the least.  :)

Indeed.  The true horror behind the Buffy series (or at least the first few seasons) is (cue dramatic music) HIGH SCHOOL! ;)

As others have mentioned the presentation of the horror aspect isn't scary at all.  Many of the monsters are just metaphors for the things the characters have to deal with in life.

Buffy is also a lot like Farscape in that the early episodes are only a glimpse of what the show will eventually become.  Season one of Buffy is well done and fun but it only scratches the surface.  Season two, especially the second half, has some great episodes that really show you what the series can be.
