LOVED the Talynstein piece.

And Jonathan Hardy scared the crap outta me quoth the Raven, NEVERMORE.

I think I even recognized a musical cue

Another enjoyable ep!  Kudos to Wendy for the Talyn/Frankenstein tie-in -- apropos & clever!  (And I loved the "Young Frankenstein" music!)  Great job on Jothee, SPK.

LOVED the Talynstein piece.

Thanks!  I had fun writing that and it gave me a reason to re-read the novel.  Plus it's always fun to work in some Young Frankenstein music.  Sammy did a great job editing in the music and the quotes.  Our editors make us sound really good!

Feel so good - all caught up with my Scapecast listening and what a great way to spend my time! This latest one is so interesting.

Talynstein was great - loved the music and the references to the novel - although I always recall the old old movie in my head.  Thanks Wendy.

I honestly had not paid much attention to Jothee's arc in the series so the Jothee piece really interested me. It makes so much sense to think of the father/son dynamic and how disturbed it was for these two. Explains so much about Jothee and this article really summed it up well.

See you all at Burbank this weekend.  ;D

I'm still listening to the 'cast but I have one correction:  DK has NOTHING to do with the US version of LoM as it appears on tv.  He left and they trashed his pilot and most of the cast except for Jason O'Mara.  Then they hired new showrunners (formerly of October Road) and a mostly new cast.

I agree that Harvey Keitel is less effective as the Gene Genie, but I'm still enjoying the series.  It could be the music.  Plus, I've always liked Jason O'Mara.

Great job on Jothee, SPK.

Thanks Ammeleep! The feedback from you, Nicola and Michael helped a lot. It was nice being part of this episode. Loved Jonathan Hardy reading The Raven!!

Another brilliant episode! From Jonathan Hardy's creepy reading of "The Raven" -Nevermore! ;D- to the great comparison of Crais and Talyn with Dr. Frankenstein and his creature. Although, I can't help but feel that the music that was playing was from the Mel Brooks classic "Young Frankenstein". Maybe it's just the fact that I watched it before I listened to the episode. ;) I also liked the character review of Jothee. Jothee's one of those characters I really want to know more about. I really hope the upcoming Farscape comics really begin to flesh him out a little more. Well, I can't wait for the next episode! Good luck!

I mentioned earlier in the thread that I did use the theme music from "Young Frankenstein".   ;)

Oh, really? Then I guess it's just a really bizarre coincidence that I happened to have watched "Young Frankenstein" before listening to this episode, huh? :D

I'm glad you liked it, MadAboutScorpy. I always wanted to know more about Jothee, too. He's a character I liked from the first. I'm also hoping for more about him in the comics.

  Jothee Review
...SP Kane explained Jothee's role very well...he had such an unexpected and unusual relationship with the Moyans and the article really detailed it throughly...
like Lindy, Jothee wasn't my favorite charactor either but for me he certainly added a dark flavor to the story that helped make FS a show i looked forward to...

  Talynstein
...excellent comparison of the two...both stories were so sad and so similar... :(
*on a side note* i have been enjoying Dean Koontz's Frankenstein series and am anxiously waiting for the next book...

  Trivia Question
...yikes, i didn't even realize that there was a different actor playing Jothee in PK Wars...i thought he was just older and used different makeup  :-[

Kevin/Lindy...as always you guys are great hosts...so upbeat and enjoyable to listen to  :)

Kevin- it is so cute that you are worried about having a "safe" answer  ;D

Blooper..."these are not the droids your looking for, move along"  :D :D :D :D :D
