I loved the part about Maryk. And I have to admit I never viewed him from the point of him going into the war like a PK should. Like they are meant to. All I could think when watching PKW for the first time: How in the world did he make Grand Chancellor? Scorpius, Graza and even Crais were way below him in ranks but they are all (some more than other) screwed up in the head. We might even consider them evil. And the ways they got their positions were more than questionable. So I expected a GC to be even worse than those 3 characters. Imagine my surprise when I first saw this 'watered down' version of a leader.

Although from your second POV (him acting like a true PK) it makes a lot more sense. And this might also explain how he got this position in the first place. So thanks for putting it into that perspective. Made me view Maryk in a whole different light.

I keep wondering how you keep doing this ... THE SCAPECAST ROCKS !!!!

- Tralk Talk continues to hop off the rails !!!!

- Sikozu review really reminded me how must I really didn't care for her :)

- S.P. Kane's article on Maryk was GREAT. I liked how the question was asked "Incompetent or Ideal" and then really walked us through that question ... well done !!

Keep it up !!!

This was an exceptionally excellent episode! I particularly enjoyed the articles on Grand Chancellor Maryk and Sikozu. In fact, I think that the article on Sikozu is very aptly named. Although while listening to it, KRAD's comment from a few episodes back about her looking like Sheena Easton echoed in my head, and I couldn't help but snicker. ;D I also really liked seeing things from 2 different points of view when it came to the Grand Chancellor. After listening to it, I couldn't help but notice certain parallels between Maryk and Cornelius Fudge from the "Harry Potter" novels. Although, one thing in favor of Maryk is that he's nowhere near as big a bumbling fool as Fudge was. At least, I think so. Maryk actually acknowledges from the get-go that there's a big threat to his people, and they know about it, too. Fudge tried covering up that there's any threat at all, and it finally takes actually seeing Lord Voldemort in the Ministry of Magic to finally acknowledge to his people that there's a big threat out there. But both of them had an adverseness to hardship and violence that eventually caused them to be removed from their respective offices. Only in Maryk's case, his life was also taken as well as his position.

I also can't believe you brought back the Torchwood joke from last episode's Tralk Talk for this week's, but that's all right. It still makes me laugh, no matter how many times I hear it. :D Although, I guess I should be thankful that you guys haven't gone so far as to find a way to incorporate that exchange between Captain Jack and Gwen regarding "alien meat" in Tralk Talk yet... ;) Well, keep up the superb work! I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for us next!

P.S. Saw the variant cover for "D'Argo's Lament". D'Argo looks so badass in that pic... :)

Another Great Scapecast episode !!  :)

...i have really been enjoying the charactor reviews for the PK Wars as it is helping explain things better for me to understand what really happened

...i confess i have only watched PK Wars once  :-[ ...for me it seemed like a dream episode or an episode in another timeline that may or may not have happened...to me it was just so rushed with just too much happening and WAY to many charactors brought back (and Pilot's voice being different really threw me off  :P ) ...i didn't hate it by any means, but i haven't had the urge to watch it again but perhaps listening to such excellent articles from the SC written about the charactors, will help me be able to go back and watch PK Wars with a new and better understanding and i will be able to slow it down and enjoy it without being so mixed up and worried i've missed something
Why be normal ?
