I've watched Lambs to the Slaughter a fair few times because of Crais' interaction with Larell; it's one of my point of references when I write my AU.
There is definitely an ease to the way they talk to each other, isn't there? She uses his first name and she knows him well enough to suggest it was a long-term affair. And it does seem at odds with episodes like Premiere and The Way We Weren't, where Crais has such a temper.
I think what we see is what most Peacekeepers saw, and it's mostly an act. You have to remember that he was recruited and has had to fight tooth and nail to get to the position of captain. He presents himself in a certain light and allows few to know the man behind that persona.
Tauvo did. And it's obvious that Darinta did as well. She was allowed to see that he wasn't a complete... um, nasty person, that he did have a heart and feelings. That he could be caring and loving.
I feel a little sorry for her really. Crais wrecked her life, because he opened her mind to thinking beyond Peacekeeper protocol. He made her "more"... and then abandoned her on the Carrier (though she does say that she wouldn't have gone with him). Scorpius puts her in the Aurora Chair and then put God only knows what deal to her so she thinks of betraying the man she loves. It was an utterly impossible position for her to be in. I wonder if she survived......

one time I've watched Wolf in Sheep's Clothing all the way through was when it aired and then the end is a blur. When I wrote a fic covering Aeryn in the aftermath, I had to go read the transcript because I couldn't remember what happened beyond Pilot's "Yes Moya. I see it." *gulps*
And I deny the existence of Dog With Two Bones. Never happened
