Crichton's recorder - a thought
(1/1)
BlueCatShip:
It's been a long time since I posted a Farscape speculation.
I was listening to a back episode of the ScapeCast with a review of "Bad Timing," and they mentioned John Crichton's tape recorder and narrations, and it sparked a thought.
The reviewers noted that the scene planting the recorder and the narration covered near the end was much like the narration from the very first episode, and the reviewers thought it was as if he was telling someone else.
Of course, we know that he's ostensibly recording these so his dad (or whoever might find the recorder) will understand his time in the Uncharted Territories, a sort of captain's ship's log.
But the thought that occurred to me was, is there also an element where John's narration is being told to, or heard by, someone else in the future, such as Baby D?
Just wondering. And I'm going to cross-post this over on the ScapeCast's forums, so they can do whatever they want with the possibility.
Brent Barrett:
Hm... well, since he left the recorder and tapes on the Moon when he left at the end of Bad Timing, I kinda doubt it... unless Little D makes it back to Earth some day and hears the recordings. :)
