Again I really enjoyed listening to the new episode.

Wendy did a great job on the Scorpius Character review and Kim is a wonderful co host. I will definitely check our Claudia’s episode of “The Dresden Files”, maybe I find a new show for myself.

Thanks guys!
 :)

Thanks for your comments, Fluffy; esp. the one about Kim  :-*

Skiffy is pulling a Fox and is showing the Dresden Files out of order.  Ep 7 was actually the pilot...It's good creepy fun and I enjoy it.  Also can't wait to see Claudia as Dresden's nemisis!

Once again, another great show guys!

Just one thing.  Your answer to the Question of the Week is inaccurate.

When did we first see Scorpius's cooling rods?  "Mind the Baby"

Early in the episode, Bracca comes to Scropius to report their failure to find either Talyn or John Crichton: "Sir, we've completed our scans and have found nothing. No.....thing......." he goes to stunned silence as watches Scorpius's nurse open his cranial cavity with the cooling rod assembly, removes a hot, red rod and replaces it with a new, cool, blue rod.

Dang it.  *sigh*

There's a history to this question/answer, Jeff.  It involves me, as editor, realizing that the show was running long, so I had to dump my planned very lengthy trivia question and replace it at the last second with a quicker question.  I didn't have any real time to research it, so I went from memory.  Well, my first attempt at the answer was LG&M, but then Wendy pointed out that we saw it in LATP.   :D  Seems all the crew forgot when we really saw them for the first time.

But, hey, this is good... maybe some folks who don't normally comment on the episode will send in some corrections.   :D  And I'll be sure to mention the correct answer in the next episode.  Thanks, jeff.

LOL!  Thanks Rob!  I told Brent it was LATP because I'd recently watched that so it was stuck in my head.  So I caught Brent's orginal wrong answer, and then gave another wrong answer instead!  :D

Somehow, that is so Farscape to me though.

Hopefully we'll got tons of phone calls from Scapers correcting our mistake.  Thanks for listening!

Wendy

Dear Wendy Hembrock and the engineer de episode,
It was a thrill for me to hear something I'd written appear on Scapecast.   Wendy, thank you for voicing the article.  I don't know who engineered it, (Brent?  Sammy?), but it came out sounding better than I imagined.  You were more than fair.  I'm still doing the happy dance.

EDIT- Thank you, Nicola, for the quotes and the music!
EDIT-  It has been an education learning how you produce the Podcast.
Thanks for the gift certificate at Geeklabel  http://www.geeklabel.com  I am leaning towards a T-shirt that says "Muggle", but they also have custom T-shirts and sweats.  I cherish the Scapecast T-shirt too.

Thanks again,

Thanks, Got.  But you left out one more key person: The copy editor (in this case, Nicola), who chose the quotes and where to put them (as well as the music).  :)

Thanks Nicola for the quotes and the music!

*blush*   You are very welcome.  It was fun.   And if you feel inspired to write another article feel free.  That would be excellent.   (Anyone wanna write about Rygel's life before he was deposed and how he changed through the series?  Inspired by this quote of Artisotle's "Dignity does not consist in possessing honours, but in deserving them."   Just a thought.   *poke*  *poke*)

All the submissions have been great fun to read and play with ideas for production.   It has been a blast.

I forgot to mention earlier that I really like Shooting from the hip and I hope you will continue it. ;)
To hear you guys talking about the episodes always makes me feel as if I’m standing right next to you.
I especially like your opinions and thoughts, but also the little things you mention from the starburst audio commentaries, because that is new stuff for me.
Keep up the great work. :D

I got lost in the Scorpius review, looked at the clock and quarter of an hour had gone by and I hadn't even noticed :)
Hats off to Got Leviathan for the winning article, some seriously good competition as read in previous scapecasts but a worthy winner. I'm a sucker for Shooting from the Hip style of podcasting so more of the episode discussions (when time permits) would be most welcome.

You see that one, that's that star right there. It's my point of reference, my guide, and it always becomes the center of my chart. I always name it Aeryn.

I have a question: this week, someone, I think Kevin, says that the whole bass-trout thing in A Human Reaction was a way for John Crichton to test his father, and we learn this in the 4th season. But I can't think when we learn it in the 4th season. Crichton does say "Was it a bass, or a trout?" to his father when he first sees him. But was there any other reference?

Sorry I wasn't on that segment so it wasn't me.  However, I'm sure whoever it was will respond here when they read this post.

It was me.  I was commenting on how John used the bass/trout question in Terra Firma to see if it was his real Dad.  We never get the answer, since it cuts away at that point for dramatic effect, if memory serves.
